NutraBubs Formulation Story
All dairy products manufactured at Nutra Pharmaceuticals are tested in certified laboratories and released for sale/ export with a full test report and export documents to meet regulatory compliance.
Step 1
Dairy cattles are specially bred to produce large amounts of milk. The cows are females, who give birth to calves and produce milk. Most of the cattle in a dairy herd are cows. Dairy cows are milked at the same time every morning and afternoon because they do not like surprises and to make the best milk you need contented cows. Milking is usually done at 5.30 am and 4.00 pm.
Step 2
Tankers transport the milk from dairy farms to the nearest milk processing plant. On arrival, milk from the tanker is tested again in a laboratory to ensure that it has been kept at or below 4 degrees Celsius during transport, and delivered within 24 hours of milking. The tests also monitor protein levels and check for the presence of bacteria and antibiotics. The milk is then pumped into large insulated vats at the factory.
Step 3
Spray drying milk powder involves atomizing concentrated milk (or other liquids) into a hot air stream (180 – 220 C). The atomizer may be either a pressure nozzle or a centrifugal disc. By controlling the size of the droplets, the air temperature, and the airflow, it is possible to evaporate almost all the moisture while exposing the solids to relatively low temperatures. Spray drying yields milk powders with excellent solubility, flavour and colour. The Powdered milk is then transported from the spray drying facility and are stored in 25kg bag before being sent to the canning facility. The milk powder is stored in a cool, dry place and not exposed to sunlight or strong odours.
Step 4
The last step in the process is to package it for NutraBubs customers. Empty cans are put onto an accumulation table. One scoop is dropped into each can before being loaded up with formula from a filling station. A check weighing system then ensures that the correct weight of product has been put into each can, rejecting any cans that are over or underweight. Lids are then loosely put on with a clincher. The cans then pass into a gas box or chamber where air is evacuated and replaced with nitrogen. After that, the lids are seamed – installed tightly. A resealer is packed on top and finally the cans are put on a shipper. Conveyors connect the various pieces of equipment, with the cans moving between three rooms as they go through the process.
